After purchasing (and loving) an epoxy resin round created with alcohol inks, I wanted to try some for myself. Suited up with my mask to protect my lungs, I did my first attempt. The resin release spray added texture and I didn’t get all the bubbles out unfortunately (and now I know why that’s such a problem), but for a first try it was a success! After several more lackluster attempts and many more videos and pictures, I tried another pair of canvases and got results I am pretty happy with. The first canvas I WISH I had stopped tinkering earlier, but still didn’t mind the results. The main lesson learned is resist the urge to mess with it. It’s fluid and you need to let it do its thing.
